The present invention relates to the field of network information processing. Disclosed are a system and method for information interaction. The method comprises: issuing, by an information issuer client, media information to an open information platform; sharing, by the open information platform, the media information with a plurality of information receiver clients, and providing the information receiver clients with a resource-gifting entrance of the media information; displaying, by the information receiver client, the media information and the resource-gifting entrance; transmitting, according to a resource-gifting operation triggered on the basis of the resource-gifting entrance and to the open information platform, a resource-gifting instruction with respect to the media information; executing, by the open information platform, the resource-gifting instruction, and providing, to the information issuer client, user information of the information receiver client that transmitted the resource-gifting instruction; displaying, by the information issuer client, the user information; and transmitting, according to the user information a first communication message to the information receiver client that transmitted the resource-gifting instruction.
