摘要 A broadcast receiving apparatus and a method for controlling the same are provided. The broadcast receiving apparatus includes a tuner configured to receive a broadcast signal of a tuned broadcast channel, an output interface configured to output image data of content signal-processed from the received broadcast signal on a screen, an input interface configured to receive a specific content, and a processor configured to control the tuner to receive the broadcast signal of the broadcast channel in response to the specific content being input through the input interface while a content analyzing mode is activated, and to analyze the content signal-processed from the broadcast signal received through tuner during output of the specific content to the output interface and to output the content to the output interface when the content satisfies a preset condition. Accordingly, the broadcast receiving apparatus provides a notification informing that a broadcast image is started or resumed.
