PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm a relative displacement of a rod in respect to a cylinder member at a remote position without going to an installation site to monitor a state of a vibration-proof unit and a state of a vibration-proof object.SOLUTION: A remote monitoring device 1 for detecting an amount of relative displacement of a rod D2 in respect to a cylinder D1 of a hydraulic vibration-proof unit D and detecting a displacement of a pipeline includes a detecting circuit 10a for generating an alert signal through opening or closing operation with a switch member 2 movable in response to a displacement of the rod D2 and opened or closed at a prescribed position during its motion and a communication instrument 4 for transmitting the alert signal of this detecting circuit 10a to a remote position. The switch member 2 includes a trigger piece 5 made of magnet fixed on the cylinder D1, a movable holder 6 relatively displaced in a linear manner at a near position of the trigger piece 5 on the cylinder D1 together with the rod D2, and a pair of reed switches 7, 7 spaced apart in a moving direction on this movable holder 6 and fixed there and opened or closed by a magnetic field of the trigger piece 5 approached as the movable holder 6 is displaced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
