PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide program playback device and program for presenting the information indicating the characteristics of the content of a program being viewed to a viewer in an easy-to-understand manner.SOLUTION: A program reading section 22 of a program playback device 2 reads and outputs a program of playback object from a program storage device 3. An acquisition unit 24 acquires the program characteristic information indicating the characteristics of a content at a place where the program is being played, from the information about a program included in the program relevant information stored in a program relevant information storage device 4. An image processing unit 27 makes the display section 14 of a program display device 1 display the program characteristic information acquired by the acquisition unit 24, for a certain time after acquisition thereof, while superposing on the video of a program read by the program reading section 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
