PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for installing a blind fastener in a proper workpiece. SOLUTION: The method for installing a blind fastener 11 in the inside includes the step of forming a hole in a thermoplastic workpiece 22 without drilling work, and further includes the steps of bringing an approaching face of the thermoplastic workpiece 22 into contact with a leading end 21 of the blind fastener 11 and applying heat and pressure to the contact area of the thermoplastic workpiece 22 by means of the leading end 21 of the blind fastener 11.
