PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a conveying member from being damaged by the flocculate waste toner and to extend the service life of a developer conveying device. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has: a storing section for storing a developer; the conveying member formed of a wire rod whose cross section has a polygonal shape and which is constituted of an elastic material, is disposed in the storage section so as to be freely rotatable, and conveys the developer by being rotated; and rotation transmitting member which transmits the rotation to the conveying member. Since the conveying member is formed of the wire rod whose cross section has the polygonal shape, conveying force for the developer in the axial direction is increased.
