<p>A development apparatus for mixing and applying developer material to a latent image on an image-bearing member in an electrostatographic reproduction machine, such as a copier or printer, includes a blender (10) of the type for mixing developer material having a plurality of blender segments (118) mounted on a shaft (112). A resilient spacer (130) is provided wherein the resilient spacer and the plurality of blender segments are compressed between a pair of stops (128, 132).
