FIELD: organic chemistry, drugs. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new ecteinascedin derivatives containing of quinone group in E ring of formula wherein Ra and Rb together with the carbon atom to which they are attached form group -C(=O)-; -CH(OX1) or -CHN(X1X2), wherein X1 and X2 are independently H, C1-C18-alkyl, C2-C18-alkenyl, or C2-C18-alkynyl, or -C(=)R', wherein R' is independently H, C1-C6-alkyl, C2-C6-alkenyl, or C2-C6-alkynyl; heterocycle containing one or two O heteroatoms; group of formula 2 wherein Rd and X1 are hydrogen, C1-C12-alkyl or alkoxy, C2-C12-alkenyl, C2-C12-alkinyl, C6-C18-aryl; X is -NH- or -O-; R5 is OX1 wherein X1 is H, or -C(=)R', wherein R' is independently H, C1-C6-alkyl, C2-C6-alkenyl, or C2-C6-alkinyl; R7 and R8 together form group -O-CH2-O-; R21 is-H, -OH, or -CN.
