Described are improvements in fishing nets made of monofilament or multifilament yarns, wherein zones in close proximity to boltropes are established, said zones being made of yarns having a gauge higher than that of the rest of the net body; each of the zones corresponds at least to one and maximum to ten net mesh rows, each row being formed by the same or different yarn gauge so as to reinforce the zones in close proximity the boltropes of the net.
