<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polarizing plastic lens which makes an optical film hardly rounded and facilitates mold assembly when a polarizing film is held inside. <P>SOLUTION: A long bank part surrounding a fixed area is formed by heaping up UV curing epoxy resin P at opposed positions on both sides of a film base 15. Simultaneously, the epoxy resin P is irradiated with ultraviolet light from the edge of an irradiation lamp 30 and cured. After curing, the periphery of the film base 15 is cut to obtain the polarizing film. Then, by making first and second molds for a lens respectively abut on both long bank parts, two cavities partitioned from external environment are formed on both sides of the polarizing film by the polarizing film, the first and second molds for a lens and the long bank parts, the cavities are filled with a monomer for a plastic lens, which is thermally cured to obtain the polarizing plastic lens. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
