A system for steering the wheels (21, 22) of at least one wheeled axle (1) of a motor vehicle has an arrangement determining the value of a load applied on an axle beam (18) of said axle and sending information thereabout to a control unit (10), which com- pares this load value with stored data of change of a so called toe-value of the wheels (19, 20) of a first and an opposite second end of the axle as a function of this load. A control unit calculates the length to be assumed by a power means (6) acting be- tween the axle beam and a link (28) connected to a rod (23) and one (21) of said wheels for obtaining the same toe-value for the wheels at the two opposite ends of said axle. The control unit will then control the power means to assume said length calculated in a neutral state of the vehicle in which the vehicle is to be driven in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. |
