<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the unevenness of image density by equalizing an exposure energy distribution in adjoining two or more lines while improving the quality of image in a high resolution picture. <P>SOLUTION: According to an LED print head 53 concerning this invention, a line which makes an LED element 53k emit a light so that the exposure energy may maintain the value of a threshold X or higher for lines adjoining each other is chosen among adjoining two or more lines composing pixels based on input image data in a luminescence line conversion section 53a. In a luminescence time control section 53d, the luminescence time of the each line is controlled so as to be the one which is predetermined and differs each other. In a luminescence intensity control section 53h, when making the LED element 53k located in the line chosen by the luminescence line conversion section 53a emit a light at the predetermined luminescence time, the luminescence intensity of the LED element 53k is controlled so as to be the exposure energy according to the tone shown in the image data for all the n lines. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
