<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device which can further miniaturize a brushless motor for steering aid, and which facilitates installation of the brushless motor. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power steering device is provided with the brushless motor 52 which has a cylindrical motor case 1, a bracket 2, an end housing 20, a bus bar housing 14 shaped like an annular ring, and a rotation angle sensor 12. The cylindrical motor case 1 has a bottom, and the bracket 2 closes the opening of the motor case 1. The end housing 20 supports the bearing 18 on the anti-output shaft side on one side, and the bus bar housing 14 houses a plurality of bus bars (not illustrated). The brushless motor 52 is driven so that current is passed which is in accordance with detected steering torque. A collar is circumferentially provided to an end part on one side of the cylindrically-shaped end housing 20, and the end housing 20 is pushed from the opening into the motor case 1 until the collar is brought into contact with the bottom 1d. Then the bus bar housing 14 is circumferentially provided on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical part of the end housing 20, and the rotation angle sensor 12 is provided in the interior of the cylindrical part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
