PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide synthetic nanocarrier compositions comprising immunomodulatory agents and antigens that are differentially released from the synthetic nanocarriers.SOLUTION: The invention relates to released synthetic nanocarrier compositions comprising (a) an immunomodulator coupled to the synthetic nanocarrier; and (b) an antigen coupled to the synthetic nanocarrier; wherein the immunomodulator and antigen dissociates from the synthetic nanocarrier according to the related formula of IA(rel)%/A(rel)%≥1.2 [where, IA(rel)% represents the weight of the released immunomodulator divided by the sum of the weight of a the immunomodulator that is released at the time of exposure of the synthetic nanocarrier to an in vitro aqueous environment and the weight of the immunomodulator maintained in the synthetic nanocarrier; and A(rel)% represents the weight of the released antibody divided by the sum of the weight of the antibody released at the time of exposure of the synthetic nanocarrier to the in vitro aqueous environment and the weight of the antibody maintained in the synthetic nanocarrier.]SELECTED DRAWING: None
