PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a huge single crystal of a metal complex of an organic carboxylic acid useful as a gas adsorbent. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the huge single crystal represented by general formula [I] comprises forming two layers consisting of an upper layer of a solution of a metal salt of the organic carboxylic acid having a conjugated system and a lower layer of a solvent immiscible with the solution, and introducing vapor of a substituted pyrazine to form the single crystal at the interface.
