METHOD FOR PRODUCING AMIDE COMPOUND AND CATALYST USED FOR THE SAME METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new catalyst for efficiently producing an amide compound through hydration reaction of a nitrile compound under mild conditions and to provide a method for efficiently synthesizing the amide compound by using the catalyst.

SOLUTION: The amide compound can be synthesized by efficiently hydrating the nitrile compound under mild conditions by using catalytic action in combination of a ruthenium complex or an iridium complex with a pyridyl phosphine derivative.
