PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive video camera apparatus capable of generating a high quality panoramic image in which a joint border line is inconspicuous, generating the high quality panoramic image from an already recorded video image and which does not require special hardware configuration for generating the panoramic image. SOLUTION: A video signal from an imaging part 2 is synchronized between moving image information and still image information by providing a still image encoder part 3 and a moving image encoder part 4 with synchronization information by a synchronization mechanism 5 and the panoramic image is generated by joining a corresponding still image video using motion information of a moving image based on an instruction from a panorama generation control input part 9 by a panoramic image generation part 8.
