PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a faucet controller having a slave section and a master section by shortening communication time between the slave section and the master section. SOLUTION: The faucet controller has a slave section performing an operation for detecting an object, and a master section 1 which can perform half-duplex communication with the slave section and controls a control object constituting a faucet system based on detection data obtained by detection operation at the slave section. Each microcomputer in the slave section and the master section operates at a first operation frequency under a state not performing communication, and operates at a second frequency higher than the first operation frequency under a state performing communication. The master section has a write signal, a read signal and a detection command signal. The master section has a first operation mode where the write signal and the detection command signal are not transmitted after the read signal is transmitted, and the slave section performs the detection operation and reply of detection data in response to transmission of the read signal.
