PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve yielding percentage.SOLUTION: While a molten metal surface of a molten metal pool 9, in which a molten metal which is formed in such a manner that a raw material is dissolved is collected in a casting mold 2, is heated, the molten metal is coagulated from a bottom surface side of the molten metal pool 9 thereby manufacturing an ingot 6 comprising an alloy of hot melting point active metal. Until dissolution of a specified quantity is completed, the molten metal surface of the molten metal pool 9 is heated with a specified heat quantity, and after dissolution of the specified quantity is completed, the molten metal surface of the molten metal pool 9 is heated with a heat quantity lower than the specified quantity until a volume V[m] of the molten metal pool 9 satisfies at least the following equation: V=V(C/kC). In this equation, V[m] represents an initial volume of the molten metal pool 9 at the time of completion of dissolution of the specified quantity, C[%] represents an initial concentration of an alloy content included in the molten metal pool 9 at the time of completion of dissolution of the specified quantity, k[-] represents a distribution coefficient of the alloy content, and C[%] represents an allowable concentration of the alloy content.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
