Provided is an electronic pen having a structure wherein a core body is not easily bent, even though the core body is slender. This electronic pen has: a tubular case having an opening at one end; a core body stored in the case and the tip end of which protrudes from the opening; and a writing pressure detection unit for detecting writing pressure applied to the core body. The core body is equipped with a central section and a pipe section comprising a more rigid material than the central section. The central section is inserted into a hollow part of the pipe section, and is latched with respect to the pipe section in a state in which at least the tip-end part of the central section protrudes from one end of the pipe section in the axial direction thereof. When the tip-end part of the central section is made the tip end of the core body and the tip-end part of the central section protrudes from the opening of the case, a portion of the pipe section also protrudes from the opening. Writing pressure applied to the tip-end part of the central section is transmitted to the writing pressure detection unit via the pipe section. |
