PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 1H-pyrazolo[5,1-c][1,2,4]triazole compound useful as a coupler for photographs and as an intermediate for pigments or an intermediate in organic synthesis. SOLUTION: The 1H-pyrazolo[5,1-c][1,2,4]triazole compound is represented by formula (1) (wherein R is a hydrogen atom or a substituent, and X is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a group releasable by the reaction with an oxidant of a color developing main agent).
