PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it difficult to cause variation in recording quality, even if the remaining quantity of a roll state recording medium or environment temperature is changed. SOLUTION: In the inkjet recorder 1, power is transmitted from a sheet feed motor 21 to a sheet feed roller 19a via a first gear 23, a second gear 24 and a third gear 25 to intermittently feed a recording sheet P in an X direction, and ink drops are ejected from a recording head 5 onto the intermittently fed recording sheet P to perform recording. The number of sheet feed steps for the sheet feed motor 21 is changed based on the temperature detected by a temperature sensor 13 and the weight of a roll section 26 detected by a weight detector 17.
