METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SELECTING LINK PARAMETERS

The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses operating in a low power radio system, such as a Bluetooth Low Energy, BLE system, for setting up a connection between a peripheral device (4) and a central device (2). The peripheral device (4) sends a setup message to the central device (2) using a first set of link parameters according to a predetermined sequence. The peripheral device (4) then waits for a response, in form of a connection request, from the central device (2). If not received the peripheral device (4) sends the next set of link parameters according to the predetermined sequence until the peripheral device (4) receives the connection request. The peripheral device (4) then initializes the connection between the peripheral device (4) and the central device (2) using the link parameter set received in the connection request from the central device 2.
