PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing plate for battery container which can surely maintain the sealability of a battery container housing an electrode and electrolyte solution. SOLUTION: The sealing plate for battery container includes electrode terminals 3, 4 and a cover 2, whose surfaces are treated with triazinedithiol compound or silane coupling agent, and which are intergrated by insulating sealing material 5 formed of polyphenylene sulfide composition containing elastomer resin which has an elastic modulus of 55 MPa or less. Adhesion surely achieves the sealing between the electrode terminal and the insulating sealing material and the sealing between the cover and the insulating sealing material.
