PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cage movement inhibitor which can prevent travel of a cage with an opened door with a simple constitution.SOLUTION: A cage movement inhibitor 50 of an elevator comprises: a pair of drive roller holding components 52a, 52b which are fixed on a landing-side surface of a cage door of a cage 12 along a vertical direction in the state that the components are separated from each other by a specified clearance, and transmit opening/closing operation of cage doors 14a, 14b to landing doors 5a, 5b; and a door opening travel prevention plate 74 which is located above the landing door 5a on a hoistway side of an elevator landing site, and is so installed that an end edge part 74a thereof is positioned at a position overlapping on the drive roller holding components 52a, 52b in a vertical direction when the cage door 14a is in an open state. The plate 74 is provided with a landing side notch 76 so as not to interfere with the drive roller holding components 52a, 52b. Each of the drive roller holding components 52a, 52b is provided with a cage side notch 56 with which the end edge part 74a of the plate 74 is brought into contact when the cage door 14a is so operated as to be opened.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
