PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a drive unit for a vehicle which can be suppressed in enlargement as a whole while having a rotating electric machine as a drive force source of wheels.SOLUTION: A gear change device TM comprises a first differential gear mechanism G1 having three rotating elements e1, e2 and e3 including the rotating element e3 which is drive-connected to an input shaft I, and a second differential gear mechanism G2 having four or more rotating elements e4, e5, e6 and e7 including the rotating element e6 which is drive-connected to a gear change output member 70. The second differential gear mechanism G2 is arranged at a second side L2 in an axial direction being a side opposite to a first side L1 in the axial direction with respect to the first differential gear mechanism G1. A rotating electric machine MG is arranged at the first side L1 in the axial direction with respect to a counter gear mechanism CG being a position in which the rotating electric machine is overlapped on the counter gear mechanism CG when viewed in the axial direction L, and the rotating electric machine MG is also arranged in a position in which the rotating electric machine is overlapped on the first differential gear mechanism G1 when viewed in a radial direction of a gear change device TM in a region of a part of the gear change device TM in a peripheral direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
