摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a phase change type optical recording medium having excellent repeating overwriting characteristics by suppressing an increase in jitters of both a leading edge and a trailing edge of a recording mark without deviation. SOLUTION: An Sb-Te-Ge alloy is used for a recording layer. A composition of the alloy is selected to one value of composition point group contained in a rectangular region surrounded by straight lines A-A (first line), B-B (second line), C-C (third line) and E-E (fourth line) on a triangular coordinate graph representing the composition (mol.%). The composition of the region is specified with respect to a film constitution containing a recording layer film thickness. Further, the composition of the recording layer is specified in relation to the laser wavelength and a recording speed.
