PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption and heat dissipation of a memory used for sub-scanning shift while reducing a storage capacity of the memory. SOLUTION: An image processor is provided with a storage part 3250, which has a plurality of memory modules, stores image data applied with main-scanning shift processing, and has a configuration that the memory module being in charge of more shift amounts regarding the sub-scanning shift of the image data has a larger total storage capacity, and a control part 3240 that selects the memory module, requiring reading and writing of the storage part 3250, corresponding to an inclination of the image data so as to execute reading and writing of the image data to the selected memory module.
