<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment having a function for performing, in selection from selection object candidates on a display, including selection of a conversion character candidate phrase in character input, stepwise selection from the candidates displayed in matrix, thereby enabling a user to perform efficient selection, by providing an auxiliary selection means for performing visually recognizable display such as display associated with a positional relation with a keyboard. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic equipment having a selecting function for selecting an object from a plurality of selection object candidates displayed on the display comprises the auxiliary selection part for selecting a part of the selection object candidates for narrowing prior to selection of the object from the selection object candidates displayed on the display. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
