PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a room temperature-curable coating composition which exhibits good leveling properties when it is applied to a ground substrate, hardly causes a film defect, and can easily form a transparent coating film having high adhesion with the ground substrate. SOLUTION: The coating composition comprises an alkoxysilane hydrolyzate, an organotin compound which is a dehydration condensation catalyst of the alkoxysilane hydrolyzate, an aminoalkyl alkoxysilane, one or more 1-4C lower alcohols, and one or more solvents selected from organic solvents having boiling points of 120-200°C which are compatible with the lower alcohols.
