<p>The method involves executing a grating-based probabilistic sensor data fusion by sensor data (2), and determining space grid occupation probabilities for cells with the sensor data. An interconnected region with the allocated cells is determined by a segmentation, and an object (24) is detected based on the interconnected region. The occupation probabilities are determined by an individual threshold that is simply parameterized, and the cells are classified as occupied cells, if the occupation probabilities are greater than or equal to a value of the threshold. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for detecting an object (2) a computer program with a program code medium for implementing the steps of a method for detecting an object.</p> |
