<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow, in an electronic computer for displaying an input calculation program, clear confirmation of an instruction part in which a program part under program inputting or editing is. <P>SOLUTION: Data from the top of program data to a position of a cursor C is successively acquired to determine whether the data is a head command of a program instruction or an end command of the program instruction. When the top command (e.g., "For") is determined, a flag showing the command (symbol) "For" is set, and when the end command (e.g.,"Next") is determined, the flag showing the corresponding command (symbol) "For" is deleted, and the content of the program instruction corresponding to the position of the cursor C is determined and retained.
