<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obviate the need of post-bending of a flange part of an outer ring by forming a holder into a C-shaped form. <P>SOLUTION: When the holder 24 is attached to a shell outer ring 16, force is applied to the C-shaped holder 24 in a natural state from an outer periphery side to bring it into a small-diameter state where both its ends overlap each other. The holder 24 in the small-diameter state is inserted into the shell outer ring 16 from an opening of one-side flange part of the shell outer ring 16, and thereafter the force applied to the holer 24 from the outer periphery side is removed. Then, the holder 24 is restored to the C-shaped form in a natural state by its own restoring elastic force. Then, the holder 24 is made to extend along an inside engagement surface 18 of the shell outer ring 16, and housed and arranged by being prevented from coming off in the axial direction by both the flange parts 16a, 16a of the shell outer ring 16 in this state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
