The present invention refers to a rough-interference process for the recovery of solid axis, which is useful for the recovery of turbo machinery axis (4) severely damaged at the bearing zones (2 and 3). This novel alternate method consists in cutting the damaged area (8), enabling the rough axis-male assembly (fig. 5), performing an interference assembly (15), dilating the female portion (10), and carrying out a final machining process (13). The inventive process is recommended when none of the traditional metallization, bushing and weld supply methods can be applied due to the magnitude of the damaged area such as the fusion of the bearing (2 and 3), excessive deflection 1-2 mm, material detachment and sectioning or fracture thereof. Unlike the male assembly method the present invention is characterised in that weld may be avoided and in that various advantages are provided such as: the rotating element does not require to be disassembled for rehabilitation of the axis (4). The idle time of equipments to be repaired is lower than that experienced by the application of further methods. The application of the present invention within the productive sector is in the turbo machinery (fig. 1) of industries such as: Oil, Petrochemical, and Electric amongst the most important industries.
