PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a miniaturized device enabling easy exchange of a fan.SOLUTION: A cooling apparatus 1 for cooling an electronic apparatus includes a fan unit 11 having at least one fan, and a CPLD 100 for controlling to drive the fan unit 11. The fan unit 11 is configured to be capable of insertion and extraction to/from the CPLD 100 in a state that power is supplied. The CPLD 100 includes: a detection unit 103 which detects the insertion and the extraction of the fan unit 11; and a speed control unit 102 which halts fan rotation when the detection unit 103 detects the extraction of the fan unit 11, whereas gradually increases fan rotational speed when the detection unit 103 detects the insertion of the fan unit 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
