PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily materialize, with a simple structure, eye safety measures on the exit side of an optical connector plug, to also reinforce a light shielding function itself, and to further prevent manipulated damage such as forced opening of a light shielding plate 5a with curiosity. SOLUTION: The optical connector plug includes: a fixed connecting ferrule 2 formed by connecting an optical fiber F and polishing the end face; a movable connecting ferrule 3 formed by preliminarily inserting and bonding the optical fiber F and by polishing both end faces; a split sleeve 4 for internally connecting both ferrules 2, 3; a light shielding member 5 arranged in a manner making a light shielding plate 5a enter the crevice of the split sleeve 4; and a ferrule holder 3a for holding both ferrules 2, 3 so that a condition is created having an arbitrary gap G between both ferrules 2, 3, through a coil spring 6 disposed to cover the periphery of the light shielding member 5.
