PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitride crystal in which a crystal location and a crystal orientation can be viewed easily without performing a processing treatment and to provide a production method thereof.SOLUTION: Concerning a nitride crystal grown on the outer periphery of a seed crystal 21, the nitride crystal includes a first partial region 25 and a second partial region 26 having an optical characteristic different from that of the first partial region 25. The second partial region 26 is formed from the surface of the seed crystal 21 toward the outer edge part of the nitride crystal at least on a part of the nitride crystal, and shows a crystal orientation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5-1 |
