PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner capable of shortening a time required for an internal cleaning operation, and keeping the inside clean for a long period to keep the air conditioning capacity at installation. SOLUTION: An air passage 24 for communicating suction openings 4, 5 and a supply opening 6 is formed in an indoor unit body 1, air filters 11A, 11B, a heat exchanger 8, and a cross flow fan 21 constituting a blower 20 at a secondary side of the heat exchanger are successively disposed in the air passage, a casing 23 is disposed from the circumference of the cross flow fan to the supply opening, and an airflow changing device C is disposed in a state of being opposed to the casing over the whole length in the axial direction of the cross flow fan, and close to an outer peripheral portion of the cross flow fan at its tip portion, and guiding the airflow forming the circulated flow R in the indoor unit body in accompany with the operation of the blower in a state of closing the suction openings and the supply opening.
