The unit has a plate like separator base separating fuel gas supplied to a fuel electrode from oxidizing gas supplied to an oxygen electrode. A collector (14) has an opening that forms two passages through which fuel gas and oxidizing gas flows respectively. An electrode abutment portion of the collector abuts against one of the fuel and oxygen electrodes. An aperture ratio of the collectors at oxygen electrode and fuel electrode sides locally varies so as to be graded in stack direction of unit cell (11).
