PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system etc., capable of more properly matching a map information used with both of a navigation deice and a navigation server, by considering the necessity of updating of the map information used with the navigation device. SOLUTION: When there is a change difference information between a navigation map information and a server map information, the index information of the change difference information is transmitted from a navigation server 100 to a navigation device 200, and an advanced notice information is output from the navigation device 200 based on the index information. Then, with a demand operation by the user of the change difference information as a necessary condition in the navigation device 200, the change difference information is transmitted from the navigation server 100 to the navigation device 200, and updating of the navigation map information can be performed based on the change difference information.
