PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supply pump capable of preventing rotation of a tappet 39 without increasing the number of parts or man-hours for processing. SOLUTION: The tappet 39 of the supply pump is engaged with a cam 2 by a projection 48 provided to an other end side of the tappet 39, and rotation with its own axial direction as the center is prevented. Thereby, because the rotation of the tappet 39 is prevented by the existing cam 2, the rotation of the tappet 39 can be prevented without increasing the number of parts or the man-hours for processing. Incidently, it is extremely easy to provide the projection 48 for engaging with the cam 2 because the tappet 39 is manufactured by forging a metal material. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
