PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration for generating time-series thumbnail image data in one scene and displaying them on a display part.

SOLUTION: The time-series thumbnail image data (film roll index) in a scene which is one moving image data recording unit are generated and displayed on the display part. By this configuration, a user can easily recognize the contents of each scene on the basis of time-series thumbnail images. The user specifies the time-series thumbnail image, an image is reproduced beginning with the specified thumbnail image and thus the desired scene can be immediately reproduced. Also, scene index display and film roll index display are switched by one touch, various situations of the user can be handled.
