PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly operable pitcher for an effervescent beverage for forming a fine foam layer on the liquid surface. SOLUTION: The pitcher 1 comprises a container 10 defining a storage part for the effervescent beverage and a spout 15 formed in the container. The spout is defined by an inclined face extending aslant relative to the peripheral wall of the container, and the height of the spout is 20-40% of the depth of the storage part.
