PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat dissipation component having structure that can be manufactured easily, and to provide a heat dissipation structure using the heat dissipation component. SOLUTION: The heat dissipation component has a plate-shaped base section 11 made of metal, and a metal fin 3 integrated with the base section. The fin 3 has a root section 3b at an edge at the side in contact with the base section, and a plate-shaped section 3a rising from the surface of the base section continuous to the root section. The root section 3b has a non-rectangular sectional shape, and a non-rectangular sectional groove 11a to which the root section is fitted is provided at the base section.
