PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for a bicycle capable of functioning a coaster brake.SOLUTION: A drive unit for a bicycle includes: a planetary gear mechanism; a first motor; and a power changeover mechanism. The planetary gear mechanism includes an input body in which the rotation of a crankshaft is input, an output body for outputting the rotation of the planetary gear mechanism to the outside; and a transmission body. The first motor controls the rotation of the transmission body. The output body rotates in one direction when rotation in one direction is input in the input body from the crankshaft. The power changeover mechanism rotates the output body in the other direction when rotation in the other direction is input in the input body from the crankshaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
