Convention date, Jan. 25, 1929. [Class 100 (i).] A punched record strip 27 is duplicated on a series of separate cards 57 for more convenient statistical purposes by feeding the strip intermittently over a perforated plate so that the uncovered perforations allow compressed air to pass down the tube, to operate plungers coupled to punches which punch separate cards fed in synchronism by rollers 54 under the punches. The strip is fed and drawn through the machine on spools driven by gearing from the main motor driven shaft 21, slip clutches 26, 40 being located in the drive so that the actual feed may slip intermittently whenever the control cam 46 trips a pawl lever 48 into the feed gear of the spools to hold them stationary.
