A tray for optical fibres is described. The tray comprises a base and a sidewall. The sidewall comprises a first edge adjacent to the base and a second edge opposite thereto. The tray further comprises at least two 5 first pins projecting from the first edge towards the exterior of the tray and at least two second pins projecting from the second edge towards the exterior of the tray. Each of the first pins has a head that extends in a first direction of a first axis parallel to the first edge.
