PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a technology that, when supply processing and acquisition processing are executed in a single image forming apparatus, suppresses extension of a time required for the processing.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a belt; a light projection part; a light receiving part; a photoreceptor; a developing part; a first transfer part; a recovery roller that recovers a developer adhered to the belt at a recovery position on the upstream side of a first transfer position between the first transfer part and the photoreceptor and the downstream side of an irradiation position where the light projection part irradiates the outer peripheral surface of the belt with light in the rotation direction of the belt; a first recovery part that recovers the developer recovered by the recovery roller; a second recovery part that is in contact with the photoreceptor; and a control part. The control part executes acquisition processing of acquiring a signal output from the light receiving part when the light projection part emits light, driving processing of driving the photoreceptor and the belt, and supply processing of supplying a developer to at least one of the first recovery part and the second recovery part during the driving processing, and executes the acquisition processing during the supply processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
