<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording apparatus and an information recording method in which a mark having an appropriate shape can be recorded even in high speed recording. <P>SOLUTION: In the information recording apparatus, information is recorded by irradiating a recording medium such as an optical disk with a laser beam and forming a recording mark in accordance with a recording signal. A recording pulse signal is constituted of a mark period in which the laser beam is projected to form the recording mark and a space period being a period in which the recording marl is not formed, the mark period has a top pulse period and an intermediate bias period succeeding it. Since the mark period consisting of the top pulse period and the intermediate bias period has no continuous part of a plurality of pulses of small pulse width such as a pulse train in a conventional write strategy, even when recording speed becomes high speed, a recording pulse waveform is not deformed inappropriately, a correct recording mark can be formed stably on the recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
