Induction heating device and induction hob with several such induction heating facilities

The device (11) has an induction coil (12) formed in a plane and/or comprising circulating coil turns (14) of magnetic wire. Outer contours of the coil and/or an outer coil turn (14') are trapezoidal with two opposite straight long sides (18', 18'') having equal length. A prolonged short side (19) and a shorter short side (20) are arranged between the long sides. The short sides are slightly outward curved and have different length. The coil is mirror-symmetrically formed to a mirror axis that is extended between the long sides. The coil is flat and formed in form of a long ferrite rod. An independent claim is also included for an induction cooker.
